You can do what millions of others have done. You can settle down to the monotony of American life, get married, raise children, work, retire, die, and be forgotten. Or, you can become a pioneer, trail blazer, invest your life in a great adventure for God, be the first to give some unreached tribe the Gospel, and be remembered forever.
It's for you to decide. -- author unknown
My wife, Ruth, and I served the Lord together for almost 50 years, We retired in early 2016, and then in April 2017, Ruth went home to be with the Lord after nine years of cancer, . Dearly loved and missed by all who knew her, she left beautiful memories and a rich legacy. Read Ruth's Page in this blog.
In February 2018, I was married to Eunice, a close family friend for 40 years. Our families spent a lot of time together when I was a pastor in Maine. Now, God has brought us together even though neither of us was looking for a mate.
Eunice and I enjoy ministries of encouragement and service and we are looking for more opportunities - possibly in teaching, preaching, missions, and music. Eunice loves to sew - she made her wedding dress! Together we visit the gym, walk, read, watch movies. We are members of and quite involved in River Oaks Community Church in Maryville.
Most of all, we love keeping up with our four children and their souses, eight grandchildren, and a great granddaughter living in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida
We live in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains - think Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area. Such beauty everywhere.
